Frankie Matthews is a hip 21st century woman, with a major or rather 'colonel' problem. Colonel Benjamin (Ben) Craig to be exact. From the age of six, Frankie has been drawn to Craig Knoll, her family mansion. As an adult, Frankie finds herself falling in love with the resident ghost, Colonel Benjamin Craig. Ben's ghost makes it known to Frankie that he needs her help. He wants her to time travel back to 1864 and save his life. Despite the fact that Ben stirs erotic feelings in her (or maybe because of it) Frankie is determined to stay in her own century. Ben has other ideas,
and much against her will, Frankie soon finds herself back in Ben's time. Ben suspects that she is either a Union spy or crazy. But that doesn't stop him from falling in love with her. Ben's ghost got Frankie to travel to the past to save his life, now Frankie must get Ben to travel to the future if the circle is to be complete. Craig Legacy pulls the reader in from the first page. Frankie is a delightful heroine, who handles 1864 with a style all her own. Ben is a dashing, southern gentleman who puts the family name above all else, until Frankie enters his life and has him rethinking his priorities. Love, loyalty and a connection between spirits that holds on throughout a century are just a few of the elements that make Craig Legacy a rare find. REVIEWER: D.L.
